Thesis

John Carlos influenced equality in America by doing a black power salute with Tommie Smith during the 1968 Olympics for human rights.  The salute rocked the world and influenced the racial barrier on a worldwide stage. It showed that they have a will to fight until they got what they want and what they deserve.
